So I'm reading a new book entitled Why I Love Black Women, by the great Michael Eric Dyson. In this book he shows his appreciation towards African American women. I have no yet to finish the book. But he express his love, so sincerly. He talks about many inspiartional women that played a major role in his life and in society back then, and in society now. Why I love black women is turning out to be a self proclaimed book as of for me. Teaching me to better value black African American today! Teaching me, beacause I am a black woman in America, many people can see my, and our, intelligence, courage, beauty, and strenght. He is uplifting black African American spirits!
This book is a must READ!

Tutwiler, Mississippi
"Habitat for Humanity."
This is a picture of a group of friends and I. We join thumbs together. (Idea from LIGHT) Symbolizing trust, unity, and one.
Three of the hands are people from Mississippi and Texas. And the other two are from California.
I think the picture is cool, because of the flash on my camera made the picture bright, capturing our true hand tone. (pretty funny)

You throw a bean bag down and whatever number/box it lands on you hop to it.
I member those days! At recess, having a bunch of fun for about 30 minutes top!
I love hoe the shadow of the little girl get captured in the picture.
Honestly I don't think about what I capture in the picture until I took the picture.

The Bench Part: 3
Again another day...
"Spring Time" ladies and gents.
Spring time at and with the famous HNU benches.
I took this picture below the benches, right in front of the Crush Library.
*****
I decided to take this picture from a far to capture the benches in a abstract way. (If i may say that.)
I feel when you capture a picture from a distance you sometimes, may get deeper in depth.
*****
Well once again, another day at the benches. I say take advantage of the benches especially during the "Spring Time."

The Bench Part: 2

Another day, another blessing.
Another Scene of greatness created by God.
The Benches of Holy Names University.
Today I decided to take a new approach with my camera phone. (I am actually using a camera phone.) I journey to the Mass and snap a shot from the top. There I was able to capture the essence of the benches and how they look when from a far.
As you look, you can see the alignment and the shadow reflection of the benches. And the color contrast with the trees and the scenery all around. Deep greens and light greens.
Again the benches of HNU are a place where you can go get a peace of mind from long hours of class that you may or may not had enjoyed. I deeply encourage all to go pay the Great benches of HNU a visit, I know it won't do you justice.
-blessed.

HE
This piece is lovely. 'Spoken Word." Poetry.
belongs to "She"
And "She"
Is not me
Frantic kisses
Satin sheets
Intertwined
Illegally
Conversations
Stolen time
Klepto
Took my heart from me
Soul confused
Morals wrong
But I'd risk half of them
For He
Half my lust
Half my love
My Revelations
Psalm 6:3
His definition
"Strength of God"
Yet my weakness defines me
If "She" didn't love her husband
Then maybe this might be…
If my momma raised a bitch
Hmmm…It just might be easy
Harlem Renaissance those vows…
Reinvent their history
but my confidence is not a mistress
I'm a failure at "second best"
I can't teach my daughter to stand
If I fall for disrespect
My existence
non-existent
guilt accapella's
my heartbeat
yet his smile is the reason
I can't let my heart
Beat
Out reasons of sanity
And the words I can't speak
The moments of clarity
cause I deserve….
Just like "She"
But He belongs to "She"
And "She" is not me
Second "She" never was….
And the only I will never will be.

HNU bench: a place of peace.
A place of peace.
Have you ever wonder what it would be like to feel free after class, and have a peace of mind?
Well, I know what it is like.
At the the bottom of the stairs, there are about six benches. Where I normally sit.
Sitting there i feel at peace, and a river of joy flow through me.
Try it one day, when you get out of class and don't feel like walking up the thousand man stairs of the school. Just go to one of the benches and sit and relax and feel at peace. and let the river of joy flow heavy through you blood line.
The benches are all aligned with one another. "Repetition." One of the elements included in CARP.
